accessibility

recommended web browsers

autom-8 does not recommend a specific type of browser but we do recommend that all websites are viewed with a current and compliant web browser such a recent and stable release of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Compliant web browsers use industry standards and therefore will display websites more consistently. Newer versions of web browsers also tend to contain security patches to fix issues identified in older versions of the browser so it makes sense to ensure you have a current version of your browser.

This site is coded using XHTML with CSS layout and will view consistently in compliant web browsers. All pages on the autom-8 pty ltd site has been validated as standards compliant. Content may display slightly differently for older and non-compliant browsers and all information will still be fully accessible, regardless of the browser being used.

Abbreviations and Acronym Expansion

We have used acronym tags to expand any acronyms used on this website and abbreviation tags to expand any abbreviations or shortened words used on this site.

Many text readers support acronym and abbreviation tags and will expand acronyms and abbreviations to their full form when reading website content.

Most current and compliant visual browsers (eg. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer) support acronym tags. Move your cursor over the acronym to expand the acronym and see all words that make up the acronym as pop-up help text.

Abbreviations are not as widely supported in visual browsers but are definitely supported by some of the more compliant browsers (eg. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer) - support abbreviation tags. Place your cursor over the abbreviation (or shortened word) to see pop-up text that contains the full word.
